No Pro 2026 Returns to Gwithian This September
The countdown is on! We’re delighted to once again be a proud partner of No Pro 2026, Cornwall’s much-loved grassroots surfing competition, returning to Gwithian over the weekend of 19th September 2026.
Working alongside Gwithian Academy of Surfing, Down the Line Surf Co, Prosper House Camping, St Ives Brewery, the National Trust, and the team behind the event, we’re looking forward to welcoming competitors, supporters, friends and families for another unforgettable weekend of surfing, live music, great food and community spirit.
Cornwall’s Premier Grassroots Surf Competition
No Pro was created to celebrate the heart of local surfing. Open exclusively to non-sponsored surfers, the competition provides a relaxed and friendly environment where surfers can test themselves in the water while enjoying everything that makes Cornwall’s surf community so special.
Competitors will battle it out across four divisions:
- Men’s Open
- Women’s Open
- Under 16 Men’s
- Under 16 Women’s
The aim is to complete the entire competition on Saturday 19th September, with Sunday held in reserve should conditions require it.
The Red River Inn at the Heart of the Weekend
As always, The Red River Inn will play a central role throughout the event weekend.
Competitor Draw Night
Join us on Friday 18th September at 7pm as we host the official competition draw. It’s the perfect chance for competitors to meet up, discuss the forecast and kick off the weekend in style. The Wave Machine will be playing from 7pm
Live Music
We’ll be keeping the atmosphere going with live bands on both Friday and Saturday evenings, making the Red River Inn the place to be once the surfboards are out of the water. The Wave Machine will be playing from 7pm on Friday and Baby Brew will be our Saturday night band.
Prize Giving & Celebrations
Following the finals, competitors, friends and supporters are invited back to the Inn for the official prize giving ceremony at approximately 7pm on Saturday evening. Food will be available before the evening’s entertainment begins, giving everyone a chance to celebrate another fantastic year of No Pro.
Make a Weekend of It
Our friends at Prosper House Camping are once again offering free camping on Friday and Saturday night for competitors.
Camping pitches are limited, so early entry is highly recommended. If you’re planning to camp, don’t forget to tick the camping option on your entry form.

Entry forms can be downloaded and submitted through Down the Line Surf Co or Gwithian Academy of Surfing before the closing date on Sunday 13th September.
