Red River Roasts
The days are shortening as we head into Autumn so its time to turn our thoughts to breezy beach walks, lazy afternoons with the Sunday papers and washing down a well earned roast dinner with a glass of wine or pint of ale at ‘The Red’.
We are delighted to announce that our Red River Roasts will be on every Sunday all winter.
This Winter we will be serving you topside of beef, pork belly with Godrevy apple sauce and Tregothnan haunch of venison accompanied by yorkshire pud’s and all the trimmings. Keep your eyes peeled for our guest roasts when pheasant and partridge appear on the menu.
We will be serving from noon till 6pm every Sunday.
Sundays are usually our busiest day of the week so we advise that you book well in advance. Book a table through our website or give us a call on 01736 753223.
2025 No Pro Surf Comp
This September we are stoked to announce that we will be hosting the No Pro Surfing Competition once again.
Down the Line Surf Co, Prosper House Camping, the Gwithian Academy of Surfing , St Ives Brewery and the National Trust have joined us in ensuring that this is the best one yet.
The competition is for non sponsored surfers (or surfers who haven’t been sponsored for ten years) and is a grass roots event aimed at unleashing our competitive spirits in a relaxed environment. The event will be taking place over the weekend of the 13th of September and we have a Mens, Women’s, U16 Mens and U16 Women’s categories.
The plan is to run (and complete) the event on Saturday but we do have permission to run on Sunday as well if the surf is uncooperative.
The competition is already fully prescribed for surfers and we will making the draw in the Red River Inn at 6:30pm on the evening of Friday 12th of September just before The Tinnies takes to the stage at 7pm to perform a few of their latest songs.
The first competitors will be in the water by 8am on Saturday 13th.
After the finals the prize-giving will be at the Red River Inn at around 7pm with food available for all competitors.
We are also lucky enough to have The Olives playing some tunes in the Stable Bar (next to the Red River Inn) from 7:30pm so even if your surfing career has got off to a rough start in round one then there is still something to look forward to!

Summer Menu
Summer is just around the corner and soon the Beer Garden and Courtyard will be sizzling.
We are delighted to announce that we have our new summer menu ready for you to sample. Tuck into some moules with a nice glass of dry white wine, enjoy our new favourite – king prawn, chilli and crab linguini – or indulge yourself with your favourite burger. You can see it all on our Menu page.

2025 Beer Festival
We are delighted to announce that the 2025 Red River Beer & Music Festival will be taking place over the weekend of Friday 16th, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th of May.
We’ve brought a load of your favourite Ales/ Ciders and a few obscure ones that you might never have tried before to the Red River for its famous Beer Festival.
There will be beers, real ales & ciders from around the world (but mainly our amazing Cornish range), wholesome food and entertainment everyday of the festival. The Cadgwith Singers will be kicking off this cultural extravaganza along with the Budgie Smugglers on Friday night. On Saturday the amazing Wave Machine will be on from 2pm with Baby Brew and Josh Curnow coming later on in the day.
And if you think you can do better you’re welcome to try some late afternoon karaoke on Saturday!
On Sunday we welcome back talented young songwriter Max Lockyer and Small Wonder.

Six Nations Rugby
We will be showing every single Six Nations match over the next few months and we have a special burger menu to complement the action on the pitch.
The tournament kicks off with France v Wales on Friday 31st of January and you won’t want to miss England taking on Ireland on Saturday 1st of February.

Curry & Quiz Thursdays
Our Curry & Quiz Nights are held on Thursday evenings during the winter. Enjoy a curry and a pint (or glass of wine) for only £16 and pit your wits against the quizmaster. £2 per person to enter – winner takes all.
Choose from a selection of meat, fish and vegan curries, all served with rice and a choice of either poppadoms or naan bread and you can wash it down with a pint or glass of wine.
Our first Curry & Quiz Night will be on Thursday 19th of September and will continue on every Thursday throughout the winter.

Friday Night BBQ
Join us on Fridays this summer for a sumptuous BBQ feast cooked over hot coals and charcoal.
We have some mouth-watering treats in store for you this summer – the menu will be different every week – one week will be lobsters, the next will be burgers, after that some fish maybe. Who knows? It totally depends on the catch so it will always be a surprise!
